It had been nearly two years. After an 0-5 2020 campaign, the FIU Panther Football Team finally earned their first win against the Long Island U Sharks. Now, for the first time in over 500 days, FIU was coming off of a win. And this time it was an FBS opponent making the trip to Miami: Texas State. The first half was a defensive display for both teams, with the offensive plays becoming that much more premium. The second verse was more of the same. FIU ultimately fell in overtime on that warm Miami night, but showed their mettle against a team at their own level. Here are some of the highlights.
